Check Out Games N’ Roses

It’s been a while since we’ve mentioned Games N’ Roses on Cashgamers, and it’s definitely a skill gaming site worth looking into if you haven’t been there already! Here’s the scoop on GnR:

Games N' Roses

Games N’ Roses is a new skill gaming platform released by Osmose Entertainment in late 2007, and is one of the best new skill gaming sites we’ve seen in a while.

Games N’ Roses currently features 10 different games, many of which have a resemblance to games we already love (Bejeweled, 9 Ball Pool, and Mah Jong to name a few). What seperates Games N’ Roses from other skill gaming sites is that you can immediately start playing for money upon signing up, with no cash deposit needed! After you sign up and verify your e-mail, you can either go straight to the weekly Freeplay or you can compete for “stars”.

In Games N’ Roses, stars are a form of in-game currency that can be eventually redeemed for real cash. After verifying your e-mail, you’re given 100 free stars to start off with. After competing and winning in enough star tournaments, you’ll be able to change them into real cash and either make a withdrawal or compete against other players using real money. There’s no risk at all with trying out Games N’ Roses, go check it out and let us know what you think!

Abracadabra on King.com!

Your bag of tricks is disorganized, and it is time to work some magic! Connect the magician’s tools in long chains to restore the order. Special pieces will enable you to create wonderful wizardry, combining different items in a single chain!

There are three levels of increasing difficulty, and you need to match all pieces in order to proceed to the next level. This means that it is very important not to leave a single symbol of a type, since you won’t be able to match it and complete the level.

You can take a path outside the playing field if doing so will connect two pieces. This means that two pieces that are located on the same outer line in the beginning can be matched.

Here’s a high scoring game of Abracadabra played by Wolfgang5352. Enjoy!

Boersma5 is the official Solitaire Rush W3 Games Champion!

While all eyes in the gaming community focus on next week’s Game Developers Conference (GDC), game lovers are amped for another reason: the winner of GSN and WorldWinner’s 2009 W3Games Solitaire Rush Tournament was announced. An early favorite to take the World Champion title, Boersma5 (aka Amy from East Lansing, Michigan), won it all due to her expert skill level and immense support from the WorldWinner player community. She did not disappoint, winning $30,000, the largest slice of the tournament’s $100,000 cash prize, and the growing respect of fellow WorldWinner competitors.

The 2009 W3Games kicked off a virtual spectator sport for the WorldWinner community. In the first tournament of the 2009 W3Games championship series, fellow players had the opportunity to watch the bracket pairings as the final rounds unfolded, participating in the competitive spirit and rooting for their favorite players even after their own elimination. A top scorer in Solitaire Rush, Amy took it upon herself to help her fellow cash gamers excel at the game she already knew best, by recording a video of herself playing so others could learn and, ultimately, succeed. As a result, she had a massive fan base as she closed in on the win.

“One of my favorite things about this first tournament was that everyone could enter, and a few unexpected players popped up and proved how their skills rivaled those of the finalists. You really never know when you’re going to surprise yourself and show that you are a champion,” said Amy. “I want to thank all of my WorldWinner friends for their support, and I encourage more people to enter the tournaments – you really can win big!”

After cruising through the qualifying round in second place, Amy went on to win all five “best of three” remaining bracket rounds. She thought she had it in the bag, but her final match was surprisingly close. Despite the heated competition, Amy took the first entry by one point and the second entry by 14 points, securing her position as the Solitaire Rush World Champion.

The 2009 W3Games are a year-long series of online game tournaments featuring four marquee titles – Solitaire Rush, Bejeweled 2, Wheel of Fortune and Big Money – each with a $100,000 prize pool. Powered by WorldWinner, a GSN-affiliated site and provider of online game competitions, the tournaments are designed to find the World’s best casual gamers.

With the excitement of the Solitaire Rush tournament still lingering, WorldWinner players are now practicing hard to vie for the crown in the next W3Games marquee tournament – Bejeweled 2, starting April 27.
