Gameduell could very well be the best skill gaming site you have never heard of before. The site has been in operation since 2003, and surprisngly has a very big international following to it. Though I was skeptical of Gameduell upon first learning of it, people have been winning real money and are confirming receiving their payments (check out the forums on that).

As you can see above, the production value on their games are second to none. “Jungle Jewels” plays very smoothly and you can tell the developers have put great attention to detail in their games. More importantly, they are fun to play & provide great replay value to them. But wait, the best part is this…

EXCLUSIVE TO CASHGAMERS: SIGN UP THROUGH THIS LINK AND RECEIVE $50 FREE BY USING THE SPECIAL CODE “GAME 5000!”

You read that right! Gameduell is giving a $50 bonus just for signing up. You even get another $5 bonus for confirming your e-mail! On the flip side, you need to make an actual cash deposit to receive the money…but you get a $10 bonus just for doing that too! That’s $65 in free cash for no work.

But hey, don’t take my word for it. At the very least, sign up for Gameduell and see what you think of their games. This looks like a great opportunity for people who’re already familiar with Bejeweled to wreck havoc on some newbie players for easy money…

At long last, I’ve made it through the 1 million point mark on Puzzle Mana! Interesting to say, it didn’t take too much effort to do it. As you can see, I didn’t have an extraordinary combo chain to pull it of; all it took was solid play and some luck. Puzzle Mana is essentially ALL about matching 5 pieces every opportunity you can along with playing fast. If you can do just that, you’re sure to score at least 550-700k consistently EVERY game you play.

Sound hard to believe? Well, get to the forums and start studying up on your games while getting the latest scoop of what’s going on behind the scenes at your favorite sites!

Just in case you were curious what the last tileset of Puzzle Mana looked like, here it is. I’m missing the red tile in this picture, but imagine a red-looking crater and that’s what you get. According to the King.com stats on my account, it took me 289 cash games to get that tileset. Out of those 289 games, I’ve won 166 of them. My win/loss ratio doesn’t seem great, but of course I am making profit off Puzzle Mana with my super duper secret tactic of only playing cup tournaments.

If anyone wants to see the red tile really really badly just let me know and I’ll post it up! :p

Puzzle Mana has been newly released by King.com, and serves as the site’s answer to no longer hosting Popcap’s “Chuzzle” from the past. This game has the same basic playing mechanics; you can match three adjacent pieces of the same color to clear the board. There are some innovations in play with King.com’s rendition of the swapping classic. You now must reach a “quota” of colored pieces to reach the next level, and at the end of each level a “Mana Attack” has the potential to create some awesome looking chain combos.

Here is a tutorial for Puzzle Mana, created by…yours truly! Enjoy.

Have you been playing Candy Crush on King.com and wondering if there were cheats available to get those magical high scores of 150,000 or more? Well, I unfortunately don’t have any cheats to offer…but I have a strategy guide that’ll have you winning money in no time! So, to give a brief background of myself as a player…

I had been playing “match 3″ games such as Bejeweled for 2 years and have made thousands of dollars along the way on King.com. I hit it big with consistently high placings on progressives, and Bejeweled was my main source of winnings on that site. Big cash withdrawals were coming in every 2 weeks, and life as a gamer was good. But then…last February, Popcap decided to end their licensing deal with King.com and Bejeweled was one of the games to stop being offered to play. Well, crap…there went the cash train! I no longer had money coming in from King.com — I was able to scrape a few bucks from freeroll tournaments and have a short lived winning streak from playing Farm King, but that was it. However, that was soon to change.

Last spring, King.com released its own version of a ”match 3″ game to replace Bejeweled — the now popular game of Candy Crush. Though it didn’t quite have the same amount of production value of Popcap’s Bejeweled, I figured I might as well give the game a shot and see if I could hit it big again. Initially it was tough adjusting to the game mechanics…the power-ups work differently from the typical version of Bejeweled, and Candy Crush is a slightly slower paced game. I had a hard time getting past 130,000 points on a consistent basis. But after a thousand cash games of it, I finally have the game down and I’m raking it in again…

(You’ll want to click on this….)

It’s not first place, but that’s a guaranteed $120.00+ going into my pocket…and I’ve been placing consistently high every time I play. So, how do I do it? Enough of the dramatic backstory…let’s move on to the important stuff!

My Strategy

Candy Crush is all about one thing: using the “special” candy pieces to create special effects. Yes, hitting big combinations of chains definitely helps towards hitting high scores…but a big part of long chains is sheer luck, aside from having power-ups in the first place to set up chains. So, it goes without saying that you need to create special pieces whenever the opportunity arrives…I personally don’t go out of my way to create a special piece with 2+ moves unless it’s a “Color Candy” (5 in a row) I’m trying to get, but I just play the center of the board and create the pieces as I go.

Aside from creating special pieces, the big part of Candy Crush is USING THEM PROPERLY! If you just let your special pieces sit unused (unless it’s towards the last 20 seconds), you aren’t allowing yourself to score to your full potential. If you find yourself “slowing down” and just swapping regular pieces, you need to let your special pieces go loose…you want to spend as least time as possible swapping regular pieces with nothing leading into special effects.

The main bread and butter of a high score is combining a “Striped Candy” with a Color Candy to create a “Super Stripe” effect. A Super Stripe creates the effect of having all of the Striped Candy’s color turn into Striped Candy, and they all consecutively detonate. It is not only a big source of points, but it is also THE best way to make progress through a level. I can’t stress this enough — USE A SUPER STRIPE AS SOON AS THE OPPORTUNITHY IS AVAILABLE. IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU’RE TOWARDS THE END OF A LEVEL, OR EVEN IF IT’S LEVEL 1!!! USE IT!!! I also sometimes find that If I swap other pieces before I do a Super Stripe, pieces move around and I lose one of my special pieces to create it…so literally use it as soon as you can.

That being said, the other special effects are very good too. I really like using the “Wrapped Candy” in conjunction with a Color Candy…having three rows and three columns go away in a flash boosts your score & level progression quite a bit! I also like using individual pieces by themselves…I’ll use a Striped Candy if my playing board seems dead (as I mentioned to do above), or if I can use it to set up a Color Candy. Also, having two Wrapped Candies detonate in conjunction with each other can open up potential for a big chain…it doesn’t always happen, but it’s definitely worth a shot.

One effect that is underrated (in my opinion) is the “Mega Candy”. That’s when you have two Color Candy pieces swapped with each other to have all the pieces on your board clear. Yes, it doesn’t have as high of scoring potential as the Super Stripe…but note that the Super Stripe takes some time on the clock to perform, while a Mega Candy only takes about 6 seconds. If I had to make a choice in a live game between the Mega Candy and a Super Stripe, I’d still pick the Super Stripe….but go ahead and use the Mega Candy whenever you can.

As far as big chains go, a big part of it IS luck. There’s no denying it. But if you want to score in the 200,000+ range consistently (yes, it can be done!) then there are ways to maximize your chances of getting 15+ move chains. My favorite setup is using a Wrapped Candy with a Color Candy to clear out two colors, ALONG with having other Wrapped Candy pieces on the board. This has gotten me 15+ move chains so many times and I believe it’s made the difference in having me consistently win.

Another thing that’s important, aside from the game itself — playing the right tournaments to keep your ranking in check & maximizing the amount of cash coming in. After trying out all the tournament & cash entry formats, I have to say that your best chances of consistently turning up a profit are in the Cup games and the Progressives. I personally stick to the Cup tournaments (both the non-booster and the booster version), along with the booster version of the Progressive. I really love the Booster version…having instant hints that point out swaps leading into special moves makes Candy Crush turn into easy mode. BTW, King.com will probably move up my rank if they ever read this….but you can EASILY keep your rank unchanged just by playing the Cup tournaments and trying to make a consistent win over other players. You can’t win em’ all, but the games you lose will drop your rank enough to keep you in check…even after a few hundred dollars have been won. Sounds unbelieveable and I’ll probably regret releasing the info, but give it a shot and you’ll see what I mean.

One last thing — I personally try to hit score “milestones” in Candy Crush while I’m racing the clock. That is to say, I want to have a certain score versus the time remaining left. I do this just as a reminder that I need to be playing faster or have my special effects go off. To score in the 170,000+ range regularly, here’s what I go for:

3:00 — 20,000

2:00 — 70,000

1:00 — 100,000 or more

I know my goals from 3:00 to 2:00 to 1:00 doesn’t make sense, but who cares…as long as you have 100,000 by the time there’s 1 minute left on the clock, you’re in the running of making a high score. And if you’re still struggling with 70,000 with 1 minute left…it’s time to hustle and make magic happen.

So…that’s about it! If you have any questions or if there’s anything I left out, feel free to register & write a post in our forum section (http://www.cashgamers.net/forums). I’m having an awesome time making big bucks on King.com again, and I’ll be even happier if my advice leads others into winning jackpots!

He is also the writer of a gaming blog that covers skill games from time to time. Below is some advice he wrote on the forums for players looking to improve their gameplay in Bejeweled 2:

From my experience, BJ2 on WW is all about the hyper cubes – once you have them you it’s a matter of advancing through those levels as fast as you can.

My golden rules for top scores are:

Use hypergems (5 in a row) as soon as they spawn, the only time to save them for the next level is; if you’re on level 1 and you have les then 50 points to go or on level 2 with 50 points left before level 3!

explosive gems need to be destroyed as soon as possible, don’t let them linger as they decrease the chance of figuring out how to make 5 in a row

Once you set off a hyper gem, the chances of making another hyper gem is greater ( 6 color gems on screen rather then 7)

On WorldWinner, don’t make more then 3 hyper gems in any one level, there is a bug that crashes the game when you make the 4th.

Aim#1 should be to advance through the levels as fast as possible – the higher the level, the more points you get per a gem = higher final score

There are certain patterns you can use to increase the chance of getting 5 in a row – like drop ins from off board to fill the middle of 5!

Some boards have hyper gems ‘given’ to you (1st move) learn to identify those optunitys quick!

In a tournament, if someone else has scored 13k+, then you know there is at least one good board in that tournament – so try again you might strike it lucky

Play with the sound on, so you know when you are running out of time.

Your bag of tricks is disorganized, and it is time to work some magic! Connect the magician’s tools in long chains to restore the order. Special pieces will enable you to create wonderful wizardry, combining different items in a single chain!

There are three levels of increasing difficulty, and you need to match all pieces in order to proceed to the next level. This means that it is very important not to leave a single symbol of a type, since you won’t be able to match it and complete the level.

You can take a path outside the playing field if doing so will connect two pieces. This means that two pieces that are located on the same outer line in the beginning can be matched.

Here’s a high scoring game of Abracadabra played by Wolfgang5352. Enjoy!

From: http://www.pitchengine.com/free-release.php?id=6660

While all eyes in the gaming community focus on next week’s Game Developers Conference (GDC), game lovers are amped for another reason: the winner of GSN and WorldWinner’s 2009 W3Games Solitaire Rush Tournament was announced. An early favorite to take the World Champion title, Boersma5 (aka Amy from East Lansing, Michigan), won it all due to her expert skill level and immense support from the WorldWinner player community. She did not disappoint, winning $30,000, the largest slice of the tournament’s $100,000 cash prize, and the growing respect of fellow WorldWinner competitors.

The 2009 W3Games kicked off a virtual spectator sport for the WorldWinner community. In the first tournament of the 2009 W3Games championship series, fellow players had the opportunity to watch the bracket pairings as the final rounds unfolded, participating in the competitive spirit and rooting for their favorite players even after their own elimination. A top scorer in Solitaire Rush, Amy took it upon herself to help her fellow cash gamers excel at the game she already knew best, by recording a video of herself playing so others could learn and, ultimately, succeed. As a result, she had a massive fan base as she closed in on the win.

“One of my favorite things about this first tournament was that everyone could enter, and a few unexpected players popped up and proved how their skills rivaled those of the finalists. You really never know when you’re going to surprise yourself and show that you are a champion,” said Amy. “I want to thank all of my WorldWinner friends for their support, and I encourage more people to enter the tournaments – you really can win big!”

After cruising through the qualifying round in second place, Amy went on to win all five “best of three” remaining bracket rounds. She thought she had it in the bag, but her final match was surprisingly close. Despite the heated competition, Amy took the first entry by one point and the second entry by 14 points, securing her position as the Solitaire Rush World Champion.

The 2009 W3Games are a year-long series of online game tournaments featuring four marquee titles – Solitaire Rush, Bejeweled 2, Wheel of Fortune and Big Money – each with a $100,000 prize pool. Powered by WorldWinner, a GSN-affiliated site and provider of online game competitions, the tournaments are designed to find the World’s best casual gamers.

With the excitement of the Solitaire Rush tournament still lingering, WorldWinner players are now practicing hard to vie for the crown in the next W3Games marquee tournament – Bejeweled 2, starting April 27.
